The online box office is open to purchase tickets for Brandon's Foundation's fourth annual Mardi Gras MASKerade, featuring Cincinnati party band Robin Lacy & DeZydeco! This fun-filled fundraising event takes place March 2, 2019 - the Saturday before Ash Wednesday. This year's event moves to The Phoenix  (downtown, 812 Race Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202) from 7:30 p.m. to Midnight. Valet parking will be available or there is an adjacent parking garage at 11 W. 9th Street.

This event gets bigger and better every year! The music of Robin Lacy & DeZydeco will keep attendees on the dance floor until midnight. Back by popular demand, tarot card/psychic readers will discuss guests’ pasts and predict their futures, and the photo booth will again snap individual and group keepsake photos! Don’t forget to dress in costume if you'd like to compete contest for the honor of being crowned Queen and King of the MASKerade, although any attire is welcome.

Other highlights include a silent auction with a variety of fabulous items, fun and exciting prize-filled raffle baskets, split the pot, the Benn Banks Mardi Gras Duck Pond - a wine (sponsored by Constellation Brands) and craft beer raffle where everyone is a winner, and more! A signature Mardi Gras beverage can be enjoyed in the Foundation’s souvenir Hurricane Glass.

Make a night of the Mardi Gras MASKerade by staying downtown for special rates available at several downtown Cincinnati hotels – all within walking distance of The Phoenix. To reserve a room at the event rates, click on the hotel name: Hyatt Regency Cincinnati (151 W. 5th Street) or call their reservation center 1-800-233-1234; Hampton Inn & Suites Cincinnati Downtown or Homewood Suites by Hilton Cincinnati Downtown (both at 617 Vine Street). The deadline for reserving any rooms at the special rate is February 16, 2019.

Don't miss out! Purchase tickets online TODAY for Mardi Gras MASKerade 2019; the first 50 tickets sold online are offered with a $25 discount. Each Early Bird ticket is only $50! (If still available the Early Bird discount will be applied during the ticketing process.) Once these are gone, the price returns to the $75 per ticket.

Mardi Gras MASKerade a success!

More than 200 participants helped raise almost $25,000 for head and neck cancer research when they joined Brandon's Foundation to "laissez les bons temps rouler" at its February 6th Mardi Gras MASKerade at Cincinnati's 20th Century Theater! Masks and beads were the accessories of the evening! Interspersed with bidding on the many wonderful silent auction items, purchasing chances to "split the pot," entering tickets to win one of the special gift baskets or taking a chance on a mystery bottle of wine, MASKerade merrymakers hammed it up for Creative Photobooths keepsakes, took a peak into their futures during Tarot readings with Becca or Jan, enjoyed a signature beverage in an event hurricane glass and entered the contest to choose the MASKerade King and Queen in their imaginative costumes. It was a most enjoyable way to Head For A Cure while celebrating before Ash Wednesday's arrival. The evening ended with the DJ playing the Beastie Boys Sure Shot, because We Can't, We Won't and We Don't Stop until head and neck cancer is cured.

Thanks to all who attended and made this evening such a success. A special thank you goes to Christina Keuper Gromada and the Mardi Gras MASKerade committee for all the planning and time they invested to make the event so much fun.

And, it's not too early to mark your calendar and save February 25, 2017 when we will once again Head For A Cure and "laissez les bond temps rouler" during the second annual Mardi Gras MASKerade!
