You don't want to miss MCA Day Chicago 2019 on August 19th! It is an opportunity to celebrate the life of Adam "MCA" Yauch and the legacy of the Beastie Boys while raising funds for head and neck cancer research, as the proceeds will again benefit Brandon's Foundation!

This tribute to MCA and all things Beastie Boys was established by She's Crafty, Chicago’s all-female Beastie Boys tribute. Several other bands will join in the  tributes - and the fun! The celebration begins at 8 p.m. at Lincoln Hall (2424 N. Lincoln Avenue, Chicago 60614). Tickets are available NOW online, and walk-up tickets will be available at Lincoln Hall beginning an hour before the show begins or at Schubas Tavern (3159 N. Southport Avenue) 30 minutes before the listed 8 p.m. show time, unless the show is sold out.

Adam Yauch died at the age of 47 on May 4, 2012 of head and neck cancer just four weeks before Brandon passed from the same type of cancer. Brandon loved the Beastie Boys, and out of respect for Adam Yauch, he donned his BB shirt and took the selfie, also posted here, to use as his Facebook profile photo when he learned of Yauch's death. We are grateful to She's Crafty for honoring both MCA and Brandon through their contribution to head and neck cancer research.
