PLEASE Bleed for Brandon's Cause!
Hoxworth Blood Center's monthlong, July 2014 Bleed for a Cause has begun! If you donate whole blood, “double red,” or platelets in the name of the Brandon C. Gromada Head & Neck Cancer Foundation, his Foundation earns points toward cash awards to be used for head and neck cancer research. (Brandon was a frequent blood donor before cancer treatment interfered.)
Donate at at any time during July 2014 at any Hoxworth Neighborhood Donor Center or Mobile Community Blood Drive in the greater Cincinnati area. Eligible donors must be 16 years or older. (Sixteen year olds may donate with parental consent.) If you do not meet Hoxworth's eligibility criteria, you can still help Brandon's Foundation be awarded funding. Simply recruit others to Bleed for Brandon's Cause!
No say - no pay! To gain points, you MUST say you are donating for Brandon’s Foundation when you arrive at a Center or community drive for your appointment to donate!
What's in it for donors? 1.) Satisfaction of supporting a cause that may one day save a family member’s or friend’s life 2.) The chance to help the Brandon C. Gromada Head & Neck Cancer Foundation compete for funds that will support research to find cures for the cancers that took Brandon’s life and those of too many others 3.) The chance to win one of several gift certificate prizes. To be eligible: after donating, email BCG.HeadNeckCaFdn@gmail with your name, plus the date and location of your blood donation. Your name will then be entered in a raffle. Winners will be notified and listed on the Foundation’s Facebook page in early August, 2014.
